CCLYT's 2nd Summer MUSICAL PRODUCTION 2011
The New Orleans Premiere of
RABBIT SENSE
from the TADA! Youth Theater in New York City
a jazzy musical based on the tales of Uncle Remus
What's a kid to do when she's the one everybody else picks on? Kris is tired of being the object of her siblings' tricks. So into her imagination she travels, where she meets Brer Rabbit, of Uncle Remus fame, who shows her that by using some 'rabbit sense,' even the smallest creatures can outsmart the biggest beasts. Even Brer Turtle pops in with his own tale of 'turtle trickery' as the animals reenact the infamous race between the steadfast turtle and the over zealous rabbit. Finally, back at home, Kris puts to use what she has learned and is victorious over her older brother when he accuses her of eating his treasured potato chips

Program Fees
This summer musical program has a $10 application fee and $325 tuition fee for over 120 contact hours over 7 weeks.
Need-based scholarships are available, scroll down for more info.
Why are there fees for a NORD program?
CCLYT receives very limited direct funding through the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission at this time. Funds generated from tuition fees are applied directly to the cost of putting on the show. Tuition covers only 1/5 of the cost per student. CCLYT fundraising efforts through grants, sponsorships, ticket sales and program ad donations help cover the remaining costs. CCLYT could not operate without all of these funding sources. CCLYT strives to keep the tuition low to allow for participation by low to moderate income families.
Need Based Scholarships
A limited number of need based scholarships are available. Applications are available at the open house, online or by contacting our office. For young people who really really want to participate but come from a family of limited means, please contact our office at 504-598-3800 for more information.
